Catherine Gauthier has
been working in the computer graphics and design field
for over 16 years.
Catherine was born in France and began her career in the creative advertising industry working on promotional and marketing collateral (remember the "pins" craze?!). Catherine moved to the United States in the mid-nineties and began developing interactive and multimedia applications.
As her focus shifted to web-based media, she began working on several web sites and applications for the Pharmaceutical and Medical industries. While living in New York City, she worked for notable clients including Roche Labs, Janssen Pharmaceuticals, Hitachi Medical, The Red Cross School of Nursing in Paris, MD Edge, and Avera Pharmaceuticals.
Catherine has extensive
work experience in Adobe product suites with special
emphasis in Photoshop, Illustrator, Dreamweaver and
Acrobat. Ms. Gauthier is also skilled in HTML and
CSS. She is also familiar with Flash.
In addition to the work Catherine
has done in the Pharmaceutical industry, she has also
designed and developed web sites for various organizations
in a wide range of industries, such as Information
Technology, Pet Care and Real Estate. Her clients
include Beverage
Management Services, Fur
The Love of Your Pet, EZMRP
and Retail
Insite.
Catherine's ability to conceptualize and define user-centric Graphical User Interface implementations that are accessible and aesthetically pleasing came from her creative background. Her understanding of color and layout design as well as her strong visual composition skills help her design powerful web sites and produce high-quality graphics quickly.
Catherine has a B.F.A. from the
Université
Paris 8, as well as a degree in Computer Graphics
from the Ecole d'Art in France. She currently attends
San Diego's Center
for Technology and Education to stay abreast of
the newest technologies in the graphics, print, multimedia
and web design fields.
